Resonance Asia is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients, candidates, and other users of our Services (“you”, “yours”) according to the applicable laws. This Privacy Policy outlines the information we collect and how we use it.

III. Definitions
In the context of the services provided by Resonance Asia:
A. Definition of Candidate - "Candidate" refers to any individual, prospective candidate, interested party, or Client employee or board member who is considered, evaluated, assessed, coached, or developed by Resonance Asia in connection with the provision of its services.
B. Definition of Client - "Client" denotes any organization or individual contracting the services offered by Resonance Asia.
C. Definition of Personal Information - "Personal Information" encompasses any data that either (a) personally identifies a natural person; or (b) pertains to an identifiable natural person, i.e., someone who can be identified directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or one or more factors specific to their physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity. Definition of Processing - "Processing" (and variations such as "Process") refers to any operation or set of operations performed on Personal Information or sets of Personal Information, whether or not automated. This includes operations such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, restriction, erasure, or destruction.
E. Definition of Sensitive Personal Information - "Sensitive Personal Information" encompasses Personal Information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health, or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation.

A. For Our Services
We provide our Services based on data held by or made available to Resonance Asia. In the event you are interested in becoming a Candidate for one of our Services, you can provide us with information on your personal and professional background (''Candidate Information''). This information may be submitted directly to our consultants.
Providing any Candidate Information is voluntary. While sharing more information enhances our ability to assess your suitability for executive or similar management positions, we advise against disclosing irrelevant Candidate Information.
If and to the extent you share Candidate Information with us, we may follow up using the contact details you provided to clarify any questions or obtain additional information. If you are a Candidate for executive search Services, we may conduct assessments of your professional profile, search publicly available information on social media services or the Internet, and source Personal Information from third-party data providers.
Depending on your interaction with us, your Candidate Information may include contact details, biographical data, information on professional education, educational credentials, professional diplomas and certificates, evaluative measures, survey responses, interviews, and Sensitive Personal Information, among other details. Stricter data protection measures, as required by applicable law, will apply to Sensitive Personal Information.
Our legal basis for collecting and using your Candidate Information depends on the Processing activity involved and may be based on our legitimate business interest or your consent.
As part of Services, your Candidate Information may be Processed for business purposes, including providing Services on behalf of our Clients, operating databases, and analyzing information using analytical tools. If you are a Candidate for executive search, additional purposes may include executing searches for potential Candidates, informing you of open positions, sending relevant information, and approaching you as a Client contact.
Your Candidate Information may be Processed by and on behalf of Resonance Asia. Depending on the Services' location, it may be shared with consultants and administrative staff, Clients, selected partners, software service and application providers, and IT infrastructure service providers.
B. Information Relating to Minors
Resonance Asia's services are not designed for utilization by individuals below the age of majority, and we expressly disavow any intention to collect information from such individuals. In the event that a parent or legal guardian of a minor believes that the minor may have furnished Personal Information to Resonance Asia, kindly communicate with us using the contact information outlined in the section titled "How to Contact Us" below. Upon receipt of such communication, we will promptly undertake the deletion of the relevant Personal Information, under applicable laws and the terms stipulated in this Policy.
V. Our Data Protection
Safeguarding the confidentiality of your Personal Information is of utmost significance to Resonance Asia. We employ comprehensive technical and organizational measures, meticulously designed to thwart unauthorized access, unlawful Processing, and inadvertent or unauthorized loss of your Personal Information. We comply to the regulations of Hong Kong referred to as PDPO (Personal Data Privacy Ordinance), Singapore PDPC (Personal Data Protection Commission) and Japan APPI (The Act on the Protection of Personal Information Act No. 57 of 2003.
Resonance Asia will comply with the laws and the jurisdictions that the company does business in. The company will either renew the consent of the data subject every three years or if the data subject requests the data to be deleted, the company will comply within 30 calendar days. Resonance Asia will comply with all the rights of the data subject in each of the jurisdictions it does business in.

We employ comprehensive technical and organizational measures, meticulously designed to thwart unauthorized access, unlawful Processing, and inadvertent or unauthorized loss of your Personal Information. The data subject has the right according to the regulations to be informed, to request access to their personal data, request erasure, right to data portability, restriction, or rectification of their personal data. Resonance Asia will comply with the data subject and perform and respond to the request within 30 calendar days.

Resonance Asia will retain your Personal Information in cases where there exists ongoing consent or a legitimate interest to do so. It is important to be aware that even after the termination of our association with you, your Personal Information may remain pertinent for our present or future lawful business objectives. This retention may be necessitated, for instance, (a) for the maintenance of our business records; (b) to facilitate the establishment, exercise, or defense of our legal rights; (c) to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws; or (d) to illustrate fulfillment of or ongoing adherence to, our obligations to clients regarding services in which you may have been involved.
